Beliefs
Belief and Philosophy

We believe that God has given parents the responsibility of bringing up their children in the “fear and knowledge of the Lord.” Since the accomplishment of this objective is a very complex task, parents have organized schools for assistance in reaching this goal. We believe that a consistent and meaningful education will result when the home, school, and the church are in agreement on the basic concepts of life. Only as the sum total of all learning is seen in the light of God’s Word will the pupil be able to differentiate the truth from error. With the aid of Christian teachers in a Christian environment, we believe these goals will be realized.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Therefore, all education must honor Him and seek to be true to Him.

We believe God has revealed Himself through the Holy Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, and through the universe, which is His creation. Therefore, education is seeking to discover and explain God’s presence and design in the universe.

We believe God created man in His image. Through man’s sin, he broke his relationship to God. In Christ the Son, man is restored to fellowship with God. Education, in its theological or biblical disciplines, describes the need for and explains the manner of that renewed fellowship. In the remaining disciplines or subjects, education teaches that God is the source of our knowledge, and glorifying Him is the goal of the use of that knowledge. This is the beginning of wisdom.

We believe the Holy Bible is the only rule for faith and life. Education seeks to assist the student in developing goals and actions that are in harmony with and true to God’s revelation of Himself in the Scriptures and in nature. Therefore, education, to be true to God, must be based on His revelation of Himself.

We believe that trust, respect, and open communication are the foundation for the school program and the community atmosphere. We expect staff and students to exemplify biblical standards in their attitudes and lifestyles and to take personal responsibility for the growth and development of others.
