Visual Arts

Manhattan Christian is a strong supporter of the arts and offers visual arts courses to students in grades 1-12. Students in grades 1-8 have instruction in the fundamentals of art and are exposed to many types of art media, including: painting, drawing, clay, printmaking & collage. Then in High School students have the opportunity to pursue the specific media and courses they wish to continue developing their skills in. High School courses include: Art Appreciation, Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, & Crafts.

We seek to use the creativity and skills that God has placed in our hearts and hands to create God-glorifying works.

In High school, students also have the opportunity (every other year) to participate in a Europe class and trip. This class prepares students for the places we travel. The course is based on learning more about the people, culture, history, geography, food, language & art that we’ll encounter. The trip itself is through an educational tour company.
