Early Learning Center Director, Full-Time, and Part-Time Childcare Givers/Assistant Teachers

The Manhattan Christian Early Learning Center located in Churchill is looking to hire a director and full-time and part-time caregivers/assistant teachers for our licensed childcare center. We offer a fun working environment with competitive wage, trained training, paid time off, paid holidays for FT employees, retirement benefits, and free/discounted childcare (if available).

Our business hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday; Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Details of the shifts will be discussed during interviews. Wage is dependent on experience and education.

*We are looking for individuals who are 18 years or older, and have a high school diploma or HiSet/GED.
*Must pass a state and federal criminal background check/DMV check, and follow state licensing requirements.
*Must complete CPR & First Aid every 2 years (ELC will cover this cost).
*Must be current on MMR and Tdap vaccinations.

Employees will:

*Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their physical, emotional, and educational needs.
*Establish a professional level of rapport with families and coworkers
*Assist children and parents at drop off and pick up times. Complete temperature checks and daily health checks.
*Assist with daily needs(diapering, restroom breaks, hand washing, mealtime, rest time, outdoor activities)
*Engage with the children in activities and play that stimulate their educational growth and development.
*Help clean up after meals and snack time.
*Maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children
*Assist with daily classroom/toy disinfecting and end of the day cleaning duties (sweep, mop, vacuum, garbage, dishes)
*Must be reliable. Dependency is critical in this work as parents rely on us so they can go to work
*Complete the required 16 hours of training per year for the facility and licensing regulations. *The following trainings are required to be completed within 30 days of hire for anyone who is providing direct care to children (Directors, ECTs, ECATs, ECLTs and Substitutes) and before being left alone with children.

  • Current Infant, Child and Adult CPR certification (class must be “hands-on”) 
  • Current First Aid and Pediatric First Aid certification
  • Infant Safety Essentials (www.childcaretraining.org)
  • Register with the Montana Early Childhood Project Practitioner Registry (www.mtecp.org) * not required for Substitutes

 The following training is required to be completed within 90 days of hire for anyone who is providing direct care to children (Directors, ECTs, ECATs, ECLTs and Substitutes).

  • New Staff Health & Safety Orientation (www.childcaretraining.org)
  • Together We Grow (www.childcaretraining.org)
  • Early Childhood Essentials 
  • STARS Training Template-will be presented and discussed during the interview.
